Wanting To Give Up!
It does not matteer how strong you are or how holy you have become. There will always be a day, time, situation or predicament that will cause you, out of your humanity to regret living. This does not imply a desire to end your LIFE…just the LIVING. I wanna live but I don’t want to LEARN. I wanna live but I don’t wanna TRY. I wanna live but I don’t wanna FAIL. I wanna live but don’t wanna EXPERIENCE. This is our BOTTOM. Sometimes we hide, sometimes we withdraw and sometimes we suffer, but one way or another we take actions that distance us from the reality of our situation short of suicide.
A saying that I grew up with was “Give in but don’t give up!”
God understands that we can get to the end of our rope and have noting in and of ourselves to go further. As final, ending or limited as that seems, it is a good place to be for God’s creation. Once we have found the end of our abilities, God can then BE the clear sustinence and deliverer for the individual. Then we can give God the glory and honor for giving us another chance. With all that we went through, we would know beyond a shadow of a doubt that it was not us. We started from our BOTTOM but now we are HERE!
